A very Happy Father's Day to you, and your Family.
Saint Joseph was The Foster Father of Jesus.
Protected and raised Him, taught Him to be a carpenter. He taught God in the ways of our world.
He has always been a favorite of mine; I am a Saint Joseph groupie.
He is certainly, an un-sung hero.
Look how the artist* has poised Joseph's sandaled foot, with the puppy..., just in case..., you never know. The Little Baby Jesus is holding a little bird, for God's sake. Be at the ready, always. Mother Mary does not seem worried..., Father knows best.
Mary has her spinning and laundry, and Joseph has his carpentry tools.
